The Red Hats (Anti-Bullying Ambassadors)

Fressingfield Red Hats

One of our school values is wellbeing. Our Red Hat Anti-Bullying Ambassadors are champions of helping us all to feel good. Our mission is to make our school an even happier place to be.

Our Red Hats are Oliver, Eva, Emily, Seb and George. They are on hand at lunchtimes to support and help. If you are feeling lonely and you need a friend, talk to a Red Hat. If something has gone wrong and you need some help, talk to a Red Hat.

The Red Hats organise Feelgood Fridays, which is an important part of our week. After our Celebration Collective Worship on Friday afternoons, once we have returned to our classes, the Anti-bullying Ambassadors lead Feelgood Fridays: sometimes there will be a song and a video to dance to; sometimes there will be jokes; and sometimes we'll all pay each other compliments. It's a great way to start the weekend!

The Red Hats are also committed to making our school a more welcoming and understanding place to be. Every so often, they organise assemblies about inclusivity. These have included awareness assemblies about ADHD, Autism and Dyslexia. The aim of these sessions is to deepen understanding, celebrate differences and achievements and help develop a sense of belonging for everyone.
