HOCKEY GOLD FOR TEAM FRESS!

The children of Fressingfield returned triumphant from an exciting afternoon of competition at Magpies Hockey Club, proudly bringing home gold medals after a fantastic display of skill, teamwork and determination.

This year, we entered three teams into the HSSSP Hockey competition, which saw around thirty teams from schools across High Suffolk take part. Two of our teams competed in the highly competitive Compete event, while a third team showcased their talents in the Develop competition.

Fressingfield A – James, Amy, Sophia, Harriet, Harry and India – enjoyed a truly golden afternoon, winning all of their matches with the exception of a single draw. With several players regularly training at Magpies, their confident stick work, sharp passing and excellent teamwork proved too much for their opponents. Mr Hardy, who coached the team throughout, was particularly impressed with their positive attitude and exemplary sportsmanship. A superb achievement—well done, Fress A!

Fress B – Oliver, Ella, Alfred, Isaac, Luke and Dexter – demonstrated fantastic determination and resilience. Under the guidance of Ms Vaudin, the team grew in confidence as the afternoon progressed, showing real improvement in their positioning and teamwork. Their efforts paid off with a draw and two well-earned victories against strong opposition, including some brilliantly worked team goals.

Our Develop team – Arthur, Emily, Emily, Daniel and Lenny – also had a hugely successful afternoon, securing an impressive five wins. Coached by Mrs Tooley, the team showed great enthusiasm and commitment throughout. A special mention goes to Arthur S for his outstanding determination and effort.

A big thank you to all the parents and supporters who came along to cheer the teams on—it was wonderful to see such strong support for Team Fress.

An incredible effort from everyone involved—well done, Fressingfield!
