Wilder School
Wilder School – What a wonderful day!
On Friday, we spent the day with Lauren, celebrating nature and teamwork in the best way possible!
We began by planting around 100 daffodil bulbs around the playground and along the school garden fence. These will give pollinators a wonderful treat when they wake up in the spring!
Next, we rolled up our sleeves and tidied the wildlife area outside Zambezi and Rhine Classes by weeding flowerbeds, refreshing the bug hotel and bug stack, and even creating a brand-new bug hotel from pallets!
After lunch, we got creative and made natural bird feeders using apples, Cheerios, and raisins, plus two super-sized feeders for our feathered friends!
To finish the day, we built three bat boxes for the school field. It took some puzzling to figure out the pieces, but once we did, we nailed them together perfectly!
It was a day full of learning, laughter, and love for the environment. A huge thank you to Lauren for making it all possible!
