Thank you for our new playground!
New Playground Opened
7th November 2025
There was a real buzz in the air today at Fressingfield Primary School as the children celebrated the official opening of their new playground.
The playground was resurfaced and refreshed by RoadTechs Group over the summer holiday as an incredibly generous donation to the school. The Topcroft-based company even paid for brand new playground markings, which had been chosen by the children.
The launch featured singing and speeches from the children, and a blessing by Mr Stuart Lilley, the Managing Director of RoadTechs Group. The ribbon to officially open the playground was cut by Patsy and dad, Daniel, who had worked throughout the summer to prepare the space for the start of term. Needless to say, the children also had time to play and make the most of the new markings, which they seemed to absolutely love.
Mr Leicester, Head of School at Fressingfield Primary, said, “We are so incredibly grateful to the Lilley family and RoadTech Group for their incredibly kind donation. They worked tirelessly throughout the summer to completely transform the playground for our children. The children’s excitement and enthusiasm was written all over their faces as the gates opened on the first day back and our playtimes have been full of fun and enjoyment since then.”
The children said, “Playtime is such an important part of our school day — it’s when we can exercise, get fresh air, and build friendships. This playground makes it even better!”
