School Council
One of our school values at Fressingfield Primary School is responsibility: we believe that children should be at the heart of everything we do, that they should be listened to and that they should have the power to affect change. The School Council is a key part of this. The children are elected by their year group and represent their peers for the year. Recently, they have been involved in the following activities:
- Contributing to the appointment of a replacement for Rev Susan.
- Canvassing the school about ways to improving playtimes and organising a Bring and Buy Sale to resource new playtime toys.
- Improving the KS2 Changing Rooms
- Questioning our local MPs (Dr Daniel Poulter MP and Adrian Ramsey MP)
- Red Nose Day
- World Book Day
The School Council regularly feed back to the school as part of our Pupil Voice Assemblies. Our School Council are keen to make our school even better and they are full of ideas about how to do so. You can read through the minutes of some of our meetings below.
Here are some quotes:
“If you have anything to say or ask us, just come and speak to us.
“Do you know what School Council is? Ask us!
“Do you have anything you need or want fixed in school?
“If you want to know something about what’s going on just ask us.
“We can share your ideas at meetings each month.
