28th June 1914
Two shots that changed the world.
The Death of Archduke Franz Ferdinand
The theme for our history in Key Stage 2 this term is World War I. Children in Amazon Class learnt about how the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife in Sarajevo in 1914 was the trigger that led to the descent into war. I thought you might like to see their timelines of events on the day – 28th June 1914 – which they worked on in groups. We think they’re brilliant.
